Here are some selected samples of things I have done that are one of a kind, meaning there is no way I'm going to make another like it, but I would love to make something with the same look and feel. So this portfolio, and the public one, will give you an idea of what I can do for you should you be interested in commissioning me to design make something for you.

FLY WHEEL
I have had a long time interest in ornithopters, automata with flapping wings. The Fly Wheel is a slow motion ornithopter because you have to make the wings flap by turning the crank in front. The eye brows (pink) move back and forth, two counter rotating wheels in the center turn, the shave between the wheel, with the ball and moose hair on the end rotates. Wood, fabric, moose hair, brass, aluminum copper.

MOOSE BUGS
Turning the bird bone covered crank on either side makes all the bug things with moose hair on top go up and down, wiggle and move about. The center thing also goes around. The figure is about 18" in diameter. Besides moose hair and bird bone, there is painted wood, aluminum and a stainless steel mixing bowl.

WOOFIRUP
The woofirup is called such because it looks like a cross between a cricket and a dog. Turning the tail crank makes the five pistons go up and down and they also turn. The figure is about 24" long and is made of aluminum, wood, fabric and with wool trim.

HORSEFEATHERS V.2
Version 2 of Horsefeathes is much more elaborate than the first version. The movement is the same but the materials are different. The head and tail are carved from sugar pine, the feathers are brass and the . . . whatever it is standing on is carved alder.

Turning the crank makes the head and tail go up and down and the feathers go back and forth and up and down.
